We specialize in Vinyasa flow, but offer a variety of classes. In addition to our all-level flow classes, we offer beginners classes, acro yoga, yoga with weights, yoga and meditation, and “open studio” time. All of our classes take place in a relaxed atmosphere, comfortably heated to about 80°F.

With an amazing group of teachers and yogi’s, Yoga Love brings together a variety of experience and training. Each one of our teachers brings something special to the mat that will leave you feeling great, both inside and out. What is Vinyasa Yoga?

Vinyasa or “Vinyasa Flow” is a style of yoga linking breath to movement. At Yoga Love we practice a very dynamic style of Vinyasa. Especially for those with a mind that tends to wander, Vinyasa will help you to stay present and focused. This style of yoga will also allow you to push both physical and mental limits in strength, balance, and flexibility.

I’ve never done yoga before, will I be able to practice with more experienced students?

Yes! Most classes are for all levels. First timers regularly attend classes with those who have been practicing yoga for years. Modifications will be offered, allowing the student to take a step back or push themselves a little further.
And remember, trying anything for the first time can be a little overwhelming and intimidating… but that’s party of what makes it so exciting! At Yoga Love our teachers are here for you, so leave behind any preconceived notions of what you think yoga is or isn’t and do something good for your body and mind.

What do I need for class?

A comfortable top and pants that are not too loose, and a yoga mat if you already own one. If not, we have some for use at no charge. You may also want to bring a towel to prevent slipping or to wipe the seat off your brow, and water. All props are provided.

How many times a week to I need to do yoga?

Even once a week can provide many benefits, but a regular practice of three times a week or
more can be extremely beneficial to both the mind and body. And yes, if you are coming to
class five days a week you will begin to notice dramatic physical results. But more than
anything we want you to have fun, and hope that in time you begin to carry some of the
awareness and mindfulness of this physical practice off the mat and into the your everyday life.

Is Yoga Love “hot yoga”?

No. While the space is heated to about 82 degrees, hot yoga is practiced at a much higher
temperature. Usually around 95 degrees or more. While we do believe that a little warmth can help gently soften the body, you will not be sweating before we begin to move. It should be noted that in the summer months we work with the natural temperature outside, so it will be warmer and more humid.

How early do I need to arrive for class?

Plan to roll out your mat about 10-15 minutes before the class start time. Please do not arrive more than 20 minutes early as there most likely will not be anyone at the studio, but give yourself enough time to comfortably arrive on time. Because of the security of our building, there is no late entry.

Where do I park?

Being located in the city means you will usually have to pay for parking if you want to park close. There is metered street parking available. Parking is free after 6pm and on Sundays.
Free street parking is available further up S. Highland Avenue (towards 5th Ave.)
